The tc970 was great in its day but it is such an old tablet with an almost ancient operating sytem you would be better off getting a new tablet.

Le Pan TC1020 Help And Discussion / Re: RIP TC1020

My main tablet these days is a Nexus 9.  It has a 4:3 ratio like most Le Pans and I love it.  You get the added bonus of running the newest version of Android as well.  Mine is on official N beta right now.  Which is cool.  My Le Pan mini is still running strong but I don't use it that much.

There just isn't that much of a learning curve or many challenges left with these things. I remember long discussions on how to get YouTube to play without buffering.  Now for the most part they just work.

I still use a tablet daily.

But for lively conversation and endless learning I've picked up the guitar again.  I've played since I was 12 but not really all that much for the last 10 or 15 years.  So discovering the guitar forums, song apps, even tuning apps has been lots of fun.

But this Le Pan forum has always been a very special place.

Hi Elizabeth.  Sorry to here about your 1020.  Maybe Le Pan has finally run its course.  It was fun while it lasted.  Me personally.  I've been obsessing over acoustic guitars lately.

Just do a factory data reset.  Simple to do and it should fix any software issues.  If your problem persists after the reset you can think about replacing the battery.  I have had a mini since they first came out and the battery is still great.

If you have a Nexus 9 you can join the new Android beta program.  Once you join you will get an ota of the new beta version of Android N.  I am running it on mine.  Pretty slick!

Interesting.  That may or may not be for real.  Maybe someone with a tc1020 can chime in.

Welcome back!  Yes the old LePanLife forum morphed into this one.  There are several of our old members hanging around here.  My last remaining Le Pan tablet is the Mini as well.  Your assessment is pretty right on the money.  Not exactly cutting edge but it is a dependable solid little beast.  Those corners are pretty sharp.  A case does help.

Yeah, I love my tab pro 8.4 but Samsung is super spotty when it comes to updates.  I run a custom rom on my old note 10.1 and I still love that tablet.

Thanks for the review Ricochet-Rabbit.  I've been tempted to get one of those.  Weight is a major factor for me. The lighter the better.

Yeah the links don't work for me in Tapatalk either.

Chromecast And Le Pan Tablets / Re: New Chromecast and Chromecast audio
« on: November 26, 2015, 10:12:30 AM »
I don't really notice any real difference with the new Chromecast vs the old.  I am sure it has features I just haven't really discovered yet.  The audio Chromecast is pretty slick though.  I have two at my shop.  One in the wood shop and one in the finishing shop.  Hooked to a pair of old computer speakers with sub woofer it make a great internet radio that can be controlled by anyone's phone.

Yeah I have mine too.  No longer have a Le Pan ll anymore though.  Just the mini.
