I know that you probably own the site by now, but ethically you should reveal what Windscribe is reimbursing you for this review.

Le Pan TC970 Help And Discussion / Re: booting issue

Maybe a hard reset by pressing the reset while turning on, or various combinations of reset plus power plus volume up or down.

Eh, Le Pan33 put out a new pad? Or release an Android update? Mine is becoming useful only for reading forums, Facebook, and Instagram. I've turned off Google Play Store to keep it from updating me to versions that don't work (Oh Yes, they do!). This was once a great value tablet, but now there are many with Android 6, quad core, more memory, hdmi ports.

Le Pan Mini Help And Discussion / Re: Le pan Mini

I've tried   using Rest button on back of tablet also holding power button but not luck still stuck on Le pan start up screen any other suggestions??
At the same spot on my daughter's mini, I'm afraid. Have tried many combinations, chargers, cords. These tablets just don't have the interest of the community any more. Still my daily driver, though.

If still in the app, go to the Exit - but few have that - or, go to the "home" button at the bottom, then to fully close it out go to the recently used programs (stacked boxes at bottom) and "flick" them away.

Le Pan Mini Help And Discussion / Amazon Underground App miss-behavior
« on: October 03, 2016, 04:45:26 AM »
Daughter brought her mini to me locking up. Finally had to hard factory reset. Started loading apps back, and it looks like Amazon Underground is the culprit. She only needed it to get Amazon Video to watch her Prime videos. I'll side-load the Amazon Video for her and set it to no auto-update. Question is, why do we need still another Amazon app just to get Amazon apps? And why such a screwy way to get it? I only have the store app since we don't have Prime, and if Amazon is going to continue such tactics that is all I'll have. Several years ago I pulled all Amazon app store apps because they wouldn't run without contacting Amazon each time.

Glad you finally have a replacement. Out of our 3 9.7" LePans, only one will still charge due to the wonky charging port on them. The micro USB ports on the 3 minis seem to be holding up, though.

Sorry, only experience with Le Pans so far. My mini keeps on keepin' on. Interested in the Chuwi Hi8 Pro, though. I'd like to try a dual-boot that would run my GPS routing software in the Win10 portion, but still have Android.

This forum is seeing very little traffic nowadays. I suggest that you just search and read through it. The tablet should be great on its own, without rooting.

Le Pan Apps / Kodi
« on: July 18, 2016, 02:16:50 PM »
Been playing with it this past weekend, and getting some pretty awesome movie, TV, etc. from it. Runs very well on the mini and Bluetooth headsets make it loud enough to hear, plus the Kodi app has a booster in it that can really crank the volume! Not experienced with the app yet but it has been a lot of fun this last weekend. We plan to dump cable TV soon, so this may be a large part of the substitution plan.

But first, I have to go up on the roof to mount an outside HDTV antenna so we can get our local broadcasts. Only 15 miles from most transmitters, but also 2 hills block us. Hoping an additional 10-15 ft will make a big difference.

Le Pan TC1020 Help And Discussion / Re: My issues with the TC 1020

I suggest you regularly back up anything important from the 64 Gb card. I've had three failures. I don't go over 32 Gb now.

My mini running 4.2.2 has a screen lock icon in the upper right pull-down menu. My phone has an icon to lock the screen. Our older LPs have a switch for it. I suspect you have a switch or icon to toggle it.

I'm actually considering buying another Mini to have a spare. Before Christmas, I bought the wife and youngest daughter each one on QVC, and I see they still have them. I use mine a lot. To me it is a tool, not a toy to grow tired of. The Mini has been a very effective tool, and I prefer it with the older Android system. My wife and daughter's phones have 5.0, and I don't really like it as well. My old LP2 is pretty lame these days, but I still use it occasionally if I need a larger screen size. I'm still using XP on the desktop at home, and will not upgrade instead I'll put together a Linux machine for file and print serving. My old Dell 600m laptop still runs great, but its case is falling apart. I fire it up maybe once a month these days. The Mini sees about 3 hours or more of use each day.
